In2003,"high school physics curriculum standard (experiment)" has been promulgated in due form. It symbolizes the beginning of the reforming of physics curriculum. As the important of curriculum resources, the redacting of physics textbooks naturally becomes the core of the curriculum reformation. The literature research shows that the relevant papers on the characteristics of each set of teaching material and layout details is still inadequate, it remains to be added. So, this paper selects three sets of high school physics teaching materials as the research object. And this paper is based on the Constructivism learning theory, Structuralism learning theory and Color psychology.This paper has carried on the detailed data statistics and comparative analysis from the teaching material structure, the knowledge content and the style of each textbook. It uses comparative study method to compare three sets of textbooks.This paper includes five parts. The first part is an introduction to the thesis topic, research ideas, research methods and significance. The second part is the theory summary. It includes educational theory and modern color psychology. The third part is the analysis of the physics curriculum standard. The fourth part is about data analysis and comparison of the three sets of textbooks. The fifth part is a conclusion. This part elaborates relevant conclusion of the research and some understanding. At the same time, it points out the deficiency of this article.This study has found that the compiling of the three sets of physical teaching material both has similarities and differences. It also both has advantages and limitations. Three sets of teaching materials emphasize the formation of physical knowledge structure. They emphasize the connection between the physical learning and the actual situation. They emphasize the learning of procedural knowledge. And they are also eager to enhance the interestingness and vividness through the collocation of color, illustrations and column. The PEP version of Physics textbooks do well in the cover designing, the sections arrangement and the citing of graphs. But the numbers of their columns and examples needs to be increased. The Shanghai version of Physics textbooks do well in the arrangement of examples, the citing of the history of physics and the promoting for autonomous learning. But the designing of cover and the importing of each chapter need to be improved. The Cantonese version of Physics textbooks do well in the column arrangement and the color designing of each chapter. But the cover designing, the citing of the history of Physics and the scale of examples need to be improved. Finally, this paper suggests that the physics textbooks should mix the scientificalness and the artistry together. They should emphasize the learning of procedural knowledge. And they should facilitate the autonomous learning.
