Geography textbook is an important material for geography teachers and students.With the publication of the geography curriculum standards for ordinary high schools(2017 edition),the revision of textbooks based on the new curriculum standards is also about to be completed,textbook will change in terms of system structure,content selection and organization,and presentation.It is imperative to study the newly revised textbook.Textbook structure is the "load-bearing wall" of textbooks,the content and arrangement system of textbook reflect the influence of society on education and the curriculum and teaching concepts of textbook compilation.Through the study of structure,teachers can deeply understand the intention of compiling textbooks,carry on the teaching design,thus realizes the textbook function maximization.Therefore,the paper takes the regional development of Shandong Education Edition as an example to study the structure of textbook,trying to analyze the educational value embodied in textbook from the structure,so as to provide reference for middle school geography teachers.Firstly,on the basis of reviewing a large number of literatures,the paper summarizes the characteristics and limitations of relevant researches at home and abroad.On this basis,the model and method of textbook structure analysis from large,medium and small perspectives are established.Then it defines the concept of geography textbook and textbook structure,and elaborated the theoretical basis of this study in detail,including cognitive learning theory,educational communication theory and system science theory.According to the established textbook structural analysis model,firstly,it analyzes the framework system of textbooks from a large perspective,and obtains the basis and logical thinking of textbook in the system construction;Secondly,it analyzes the unit structure of the textbook from the middle perspective,and sums up the characteristics of the subject composition,arrangement and column style of each unit;Finally,the paper analyzes the knowledge structure of textbooks from a small perspective,and takes the section of "the development of ecologically fragile areas" as an example to get its characteristics in the arrangement of knowledge content.Based on the analysis of textbook structure from three perspectives,this paper summarizes the main research conclusions,and puts forward suggestions from textbook analysis and geographical teaching,and expounds the research deficiencies and prospects.
