The new curriculum standards emphasize the connection between classroom physics teaching and real life, calling for the return to real life from physics teaching. It clearly points out that the content of senior high school physics courses should be selected with basic knowledge and skills which are indispensable to students for lifelong learning and conducive to strengthening associations with students’ life, modern society and technological development. It should reflect the important achievements of modern science and technology development and new scientific thinking and pay more attention to social problems brought about by the technological applications of physics, so as to develop students’ awareness of social participation and responsible attitude to society. A new round of curriculum reform has been implemented for a long time, from which we find most high school students master little knowledge about real-life physics, but they are eager to have more contact with it in learning. Based on this, it is necessary to bring life elements into high school physics teaching, which will take the connection between physics and real life into practice, so as to encourage students to apply their knowledge and associate theory with practice as well as master the basic skills needed in life-long learning and practice ability. The writer hope that this research can provide a useful reference for transforming the concepts of both teachers and students and for bringing high school physics teaching back to real life.The content of this paper is divided into five parts:Part I:Introduction:The discussion on the background, research status, purpose of the study, significance and methods.Part II:Theory of education and life. It reviews educational thoughts and theories at home and abroad on connections between education and life, and defines their concepts.Part III:Survey and analysis of questionnaires. In order to know the high school students’ knowledge of physics in everyday life, the writer takes advantage of internship opportunities in high school to design some questionnaires to investigate and give appropriate interviews.Part IV:The study of the penetration of life elements into high school physics teaching.The writer has sorted out the life elements in New Senior Physics for China Student’s Book (Compulsory1,2)(PEP), and summarized all the life elements in every chapter which is classified with "Pictures","Demo","Talking","Have a try","Science walk","STS","Questions and Exercise". After exploring, the writer designs some cases which penetrate life elements in the introduction of new courses, concept teaching, law teaching, knowledge application, homework and other teaching steps and put forward to some questions that have to be focused on. Part Ⅴ:Examples of teaching designs. It provides a new course teaching, experimental course teaching, elective course teaching, lectures and several other examples of classroom teaching designs.Part Ⅵ:Summary and reflection. It contains some thinking in the research process and expectations.
