The current education system of our country still focuses on the academic achievement of students. In recent years, researches about effect factors of academic achievement attract more and more attention. It is revealed in former related researches that family’s social economic status and parental rearing pattern have a certain impact on the academic achievement, however, the relation between the three and action mechanism are poorly studied. Therefore, based on questionnaires and quantitative researches, this analysis aims to know the general situation, differences, and mutual relations between family’s social economic status, parental rearing pattern, and academic achievement of middle school students, and also the action mechanism of the three aspects. Research shows that:1. Except for father’s occupation, the family’s economic statuses of middle school students exist significant differences in biogenic grounds; at the same time, father’s occupations differ significantly in junior-senior high school phases, but less obviously in gender and grades.2. there is obvious gender difference between harsh rearing patterns of mothers of middle school students; mother’s warm rearing pattern shows significant difference in biogenic grounds; the rearing patterns that father shows warm feeling, harsh punishment, overprotection while mothers shows warm feeling, over-interference and protection, harsh punishment exist significant difference in grades; the rearing patterns that father shows over protection and mother shows over-interference and protection have obvious difference in academic phases.3. The English score of middle school students exist significant difference in countryside and towns; academic achievement of each subject and total score show significant difference on both grade and academic phase, but no gender difference.4. There is a certain degree of correlation between every two of family’s social economic status and parental rearing pattern, and academic achievements of middle school students.5. Family’s social economic status and parental rearing pattern have a predictive effect on the academic achievements of middle school students.6. Parental rearing pattern performs the intermediation function in process of family’s social economic status affecting academic achievement.
