Academic adaptability is the psychological tendency of learners to get good learning performance by overcoming difficulties in the learning process, and striving to adjust in "learning motivation and attitude","learning methods and abilities" and "self-cognition and psychology",and maintaining balance between "school teaching and management" and "learning environment and social".And the standard for measuring this psychological tendency is academic adaptability.College students' academic adaptation is the starting point of their socialization. The quality of their adaptation is directly related to their academic achievements at their university stage and even their ability to integrate into society. In the stage of popularization of higher education, there are some dominant changes in the internal structure and characteristics of more and more college students. Therefore, academic adaptation is a common problem faced by college students, especially the freshmen,to which the family, school and society should pay great attention. For college students who have not yet fully entered the society, the family environment still affects their academic adaptability and even socialization. Therefore,by collecting quality texts and quantitative data to understand the relationship between parenting style, family socioeconomic status and college students' academic adaptation. On the one hand,it can expand and enrich the academic adaptation theory of China's higher education perspective,On the other hand,it can provide policy advice for the improvement of family education and school initiation education practices. Therefore,it has theoretical and practical value. There are many in-depth studies on academic adaptation at home and abroad. However, most of the empirical research methods are limited to questionnaire surveys, which lack qualitative analysis. In addition,in the research content, although a lot of research shows that parenting style can predict students' academic adaptability, previous studies only examine the direct prediction between variables.Parenting styles do not have the same predictive effect on all SES students, that is,whether SES has an effect on the parenting style's impact on students' academic adaptability has not been verified and is blank in existing research.Based on the existing experience, this study first conducted quality interviews with 10 students enrolled in 2017,using the grounded theory method and using Nvivo11 tools for text coding to form an influencing factors model of college student academic adaptability and its family environment.Based on existing table and theoretical model, this study compiled the "College Students' Academic Adaptability and Its Influencing Factors Questionnaire".After pre-survey and data processing, the survey was conducted throughout the country by online questionnaires.A total of 2217 questionnaires were distributed and the 1856 effective questionnaires were collected. The valid recovery rate is 83.75%.Using SPSS19.0 and LISERL8.80 software to analyze the survey data and the research finds that:(1)It is found that the academic adaptability of college students in China is at the above average level, but some students are still in a state of maladaptation, especially in "self-cognition and psychology".(2)The results of differential analysis shows that there are significant differences in the academic adaptability of college students in different origins of student,in different universities, and in different majors. There are significant differences in different origins of student, parental dimensions, gender, whether they are the only child in their home, and parenting style. There are significant differences in family socioeconomic status among different origins of student.(3)Correlation analysis results show that there is a significant positive correlation between caring parenting and democratic parenting and college students' academic adaptability. There is a significant negative correlation between indifferent parenting and restraining parenting and college students' academic adaptability. There is a significant positive correlation between family socioeconomic status and caring parenting and democratic parenting. There is a significant negative correlation between family socioeconomic status and indifferent parenting and parenting parents. There is a significant positive correlation between family socioeconomic status and college students' academic adaptability.(4)The results of moderating effects analysis show that family SES has a significant regulating effect on academic adaptability and father control dimension and father's democratic dimension.Family SES has a significant regulating effect on academic adaptability and maternal parenting dimensions.Based on the results of quality and quantitative data, this study believes that it is necessary to pay attention to academic adaptation of college students to strengthen the initial education of universities.Secondly, parents need to actively adopt a caring and democratic way to educate their children so as to improve their academic adaptability.Thirdly, parents of different SES levels should choose the good parenting styles and follow them.Parents with high level of family socioeconomic status should make full use of the existing educational capital advantage and avoid negative parenting styles.Parents with low level of family socioeconomic status should avoid the negative parenting style and actively study the educational theory at the same time. They should participate in some related family education training, and improve the parenting ability.Fourthly, the cooperation platform between university and family should be established to ensure the effective communication between the two subjects.Fifthly, the education department should formulate relevant policies to create a good atmosphere for undergraduate education to correct learning motivation and attitude of college students from the origin. Finally, the government needs to carry out education compensation for college students with low level of family socioeconomic status, for which it has to provide basic financial support. It is also necessary to encourage universities to carry out research-based travel activities which are student-oriented,supplemented by parents to provide educational service protection for families.
