Bus system as a major Publictransportation systems in the modern city plays an important role. With the growing urbanpopulation, urban traffic pressure which gradually increased the chance about waiting for bus.So people’s encountering waiting phenomenon in the process of traffic travel is becomingincreasingly serious.In the travel process traveler usually do not like to wait for a long time because it willmake people arouse a greater negative emotions. Because of the mechanism about the overalloperation of transit system, the continuous growth of urban population and passenger flowvolume, the limited resources, we can’t completely eliminate the waiting phenomenon in theurban bus system. The design on the related facilities of bus system, vehicle schedulingmanagement, route planning operation and the selection of service mode problem becamethe appropriate way to solve the passengers’ waiting problem in bus system. How to designbus system, which design direction should be followed then what we do will satisfy thepassengers’ need become a important problem which bus system design should resolve it.The subject mainly investigate the process, reason, research mode of waiting behavioraccording to passengers’ waiting behavior in order to explore the potential demand ofpassengers’ waiting behind the behavior, and then seeking the new direction of bus system’sdesign, planning and governments’ implementation of related policies about bus systemdesign.
