| Listening is not only one of the basic skills of English, but also an important means of learning English. For teachers, it is not only a difficult point for teaching. And for students, it’s an intractable thing for learning. In China due to historical and practical reasons, these exists many problems in listening teaching. Many teachers still adopt the traditional teaching method. It has become a boring lesson to students and they take little interest in listening.This thesis first analyzes the current experts’and scholars’researches on applying Task-based Approach in English listening teaching and then describes the current problems. This case study chooses a class of Senior three students and their English teacher in Nanmo Middle School as the subjects, and adopts class observation and questionnaire survey as the means. It is mainly to describe the merits and problems of Task-based Approach used in English listening teaching through the analysis of one lesson observed by the author. And the questionaire survey aims at describing the evaluations of students to the lesson. Finally, the author gives some findings and implications based on the observation and record and also provides some suggestions. Therefore, the author hopes to provide some theoretical and practical references for high school English listening teaching. |
