This study is mainly about the actuality of decimal division learning of Grade Five pupils and the types of errors they make while they study. Together with talks, the author wants to point out the reason of making such kind of errors and come up with some corresponding strategies.Based on the fifth grade mathematics textbooks published by People’s Education Press in China, the author made a questionnaire about decimal division. About304Grade Five students come from4different primary school in Tianjin, both the rural and urban areas, participated in the survey. According to the analysis of the survey, the author gets the following results:First, according to the analysis of fix-quantify, the author choose Excel2003and SPSS Statistics17.0as the analytical tool in order to know the actuality of decimal learning of Grade Five pupils well.Secondly, according to the analysis of fix-quality, the author analysis the whole examination questions to know the rope of pupils’ learning, then the author can make a summarize on the types of errors they make. So we have gotten these types of errors such as:mistaking the division’s character; mistaking the quotient; mistaking the operation in the process; mistaking decimal point; misreading or miswriting the figure containing in the questions; misunderstanding the meaning of the question and solving the question wrongly.At last, based on the types of errors, the author tries to come up with some corresponding strategies from teaching and learning three aspects, such as accentuation the training on the division’s character, the ability of counting and help the pupils to form a good habit to review and so on, in order to promote the practical value.
