With the deepening of reform and opening up, rapid development of industrialization and urbanization, a large number of rural labors were attracted in urban employment. During the process of transfer of rural labors, because of the lack of social security and their own constraints, they can not take their children to live with them. So their children can only stay in rural areas and become the left-behind children. With the transfer of rural labors employment in a large scale, the rural children are left behind in a large scale. Children can not live independently and have no mature psychology. They are in a critical stage of growth and are the pure "consumers". Their survival and growth is entirely dependent on the support of all sectors of society. The left-behind children in rural areas can not be an exception. Because they cannot live with their parents for a long time, the left-behind children in rural areas have a higher demand for social support and even require more strongly. Systematic study of the social support of left-behind children in rural areas matters not only the healthy growth of thousands of rural left-behind children and happiness of thousands of families but also the social harmony and national future construction.By the search and survey in Bazhong city, the author found that the social support system of rural left-behind children is not sound. Families prefer the growth of children to education. Parents ignore children’s behavior and moral, especially psychological problems. Because of the financial, labor and material limitation, the school focuses more on children’s intelligence than on the moral education. The school cannot guarantee the food safety and do not provide enough emotional support to children. The government support emphasizes on formality, which has no actual meaning. The other social support has no other proper ways. Thus incomplete social support system must result in a series of problems of rural left-behind children such as life, study, psychology, behavior and safety problem. The research discovers that rural left-behind children do not have enough life support, no interest in study, no psychological balance and no proper behavior. Therefore, the social support should be strengthened and improved. First, the government should play the important role in economic construction, reform identity system, enlarge educational investment, and make a good nutrition plan. Second, the school should take the responsibility to focus on teachers’cultivation, to promote quality education and enrich the extracurricular life. Third, the parents should transfer their educational view to strengthen their communication with kids. Fourth, the other aspects of society should help to use media to advertise and call on volunteers to help these left-behind children. Thus the social support system of rural left-behind children can be improved and completed, which can push the rural left-behind children problem to be solved proficiently.
