Nowadays, with the process of globalization accelerating, the significance of learning to care far more outweigh that of learning to be. Care has composed the main melody in school moral education, which is also the required course for current teenagers to adapt to the society. As Nel Noddings noted in her works,/Care and being cared is a basic human need. Without care, we can not survive, let alone become a whole person/.The theoretical foundation is Noddings’care theory, Gilligan’s feminist theory and relational ontology. The research methods are documentation method, interviewing method and questionnaire method. Firstly, the author reviews the literature, summarizes the viewpoint of consideration school and the ethical care school, expounds Chinese traditional caring ideas of Confucian school and Mohist school and sums up domestic scholars’multivariant analysis to clarify the historical line of care theory. Secondly, the author discusses five kinds of definitions of care, which include care’s perspective of cognition, emotion, quality, action and relation, and defines the core concept relational-type care. Thirdly, the author explores the connotation, objective, field, subject, process, characteristics and content of relational-type care. Finally, the author random selects four middle schools in Dalian city to carry out the survey and finds out some problems:Middle school students can’t grasp care’s concept, and they can’t care strangers in society. Middle school students’ ability to care and respond to others’care is weak. The students divide care’s objects into several segments, and it’s hard to transfer their care from nearby circle to far-away one.Accordingly, the author tries to take educational basic elements as a carrier to improve care education. Take advantage of the wisdom of phenomenological method and idea to promote students’consciousness of care, to prompt the educator to engender pedagogical intention and to improve the educational medium to produce the maximum efficiency. The author puts forward several strategies as follows:Prompt the learners to grasp the essence of care and improve their consciousness of care; adopt the method of intention movement to cultivate learners’ caring attentiveness and sense of duty; use the observation method of evidencing and intuitive perception for reference to intensify the ability of motivational displacement; prompt the educators to engender pedagogical intention and respectively in the field of school, family and society, combine the educational influence with the idea of relational-type care to establish a new system of care education.
