With the development of information technology, the visual culture, as the key component of the culture system, ushered in a new spring. In the context of the rapid development, however, the visual culture has been affected by the utilitarianism and hedonism, so that it shows utilitarian the vulgarization features.The contemporary college students are growing in the visual culture context with tendency to vulgarization. Therefore their value orientations tend to be utilitarian and secular, meanwhile their aesthetic emerge the phenomena of concept fuzzy, awareness deviation and standard chaos. That is the reason why their aesthetic quality can’t be smoothly elevated. Depth study of college student aesthetic literacy training for exploring ways and Corresponding methods is a project of practical significance in the contemporary environment of the visual culture.This thesis is composed of six parts. Chapter one is introduction and it mainly states the research topics and meaning, the research status, the research methods and ideas and the definition of related concepts. Chapter two is the part of reduction and analysis of the data, which is collected by the questionnaire, and the specific analysis of the research questions. Chapter three is the part of theory outline, which systematically discusses the times demand, how to avoiding vulgarization, theoretical basis and inscapes in fostering college students’ aesthetic quality. Chapter four is the part of relationships research, which mainly discusses the characteristics of the contemporary visual culture and the influence of it to the Students’ Aesthetic literacy training. Chapter five proposes corresponding countermeasures and expounds in detail the fundamental principles, approaches and some auxiliary suggestions in culturing college students’ aesthetic quality. In the last part, the author summarizes the key point of developing college students’ aesthetic quality and the deficiencies in this thesis.
