Facing the21st century, we should establish the whole nation’s awareness of innovationand foster talents with the innovation spirit to meet the times. As a result, we should pay moreattentions to the creation of the innovation education. But all the time, in order to deal withthe entrance examination, the traditional mathematics teaching mostly has focused on themethods&skills in making the conclusion and proof. Now, the new curriculum standardpoints out: the emphasis of the mathematics teaching should became to cultivate students’practical ability and innovation spirit. And it is not only in the nine-year compulsoryeducation, but should the junior middle school teachers also pay more attention to it.Therefore,it has been an important task for mathematics teachers that how to find an effectiveway to cultivate students’ practical ability and innovation spirit.Through consulting literature about the subject, we know that the new innovativeteaching mode has only relatively recently been introduced. And it was Guildford, Torrance,Panas et al. who that firstly started to do the research. With the beginning of the newcurriculum reform in China, the country has raised the climax of the study to form the newteaching mode based on school’s distinctive feature. And some schools have got someachievements, such as the teaching mode of "learning before teaching, training" of JiangsuYangsi middle school, the "lecture" of Nanjing Donglu middle school, and Dulangkou middleschool teaching mode of "336" and "10+35" model etc. However, the tendency of "heavywisdom light” is still common,and the creative thinking training in teaching quality is moreemphasized than the training of those other creation qualities.The paper introduced the current condition of the innovation ability training at home andabroad through reviewing the literature. And the issues in the current teaching modes are alsodiscussed in the paper, based on the survey results of interview with students, questionnairesurvey, educational statistics. And the solution to take a new teaching model is also broughtup, namely, the "5.4.1" mathematics teaching mode in the junior middle school which consistsof following parts: autonomous learning, team communication, sharing, concluding, andcoaching training.Through the research of rural boarding junior middle school mathematics new teaching mode, the aims of this paper are:(1) to find out the current existing problems of rural juniormiddle school mathematics teaching;(2) to transform the learning method and strategy of therural children;(3) to seek out the specific measures for the implementation of the newteaching mode in the rural areas.The main goal of this thesis is to provide some useful references for similar schoolsmathematics teaching.
