With the ongoing reform of mathematics curriculum, the application of CAIbecomes an urgent problem in the problem-solving teaching of mathematics. Basingon the need of the mathematics curriculum reform. this research incorporate CAI tothe problem-solving teaching of mathematics to offer reference for theimplementation of the new mathematics curriculum.This paper analyzes the meaning of problem-solving and the characteristic of theproblem-solving teaching. It point out the problems in the practice of theproblem-solving teaching, probe into the support of information technology. On thebasis of the CAI support to the mathematics teaching, the author sets up theproblem-solving model for junior moths according to modern teaching theories, theproblem-solving concept and the contents of the third stage (7-9grades) in themathematics curriculum standard of full time compulsory education. In the model.CAI merges into the mathematics teaching as the tools of creating environment,expressing questions, exploring, communication and valuation.After implementation of the verification, achieved the following understanding:(1) Based CAI techniques built junior high school mathematics teaching in teachingproblem-solving has its own value.(2) CAI technical means to solve the problemunder the junior high school mathematics teaching for teachers and students have putforward higher requirements.
