Lingshou Senior Middle School is a school which has a long history.For over50years, Lingshou Senior Middle School has been exploring the reform ofteaching patterns or teaching methods according to the education guideline andeducation purpose, exploring the patterns of quality education and implementing thebasic ideas of the new curriculum reform. Lingshou Middle School experiencedtemporary pains on the road of development. Quality of teaching and teachingperformance has been the last one in the whole city in recent years. Finding a teachingpattern and a teaching idea suitable for the development of Lingshou Middle school isthe key to improving the teaching performance of Lingshou Middle school. Afterstudying from and consulting many experts, Lingshou Middle School has adopted apattern differentiating different levels of students and chosen “gold mine stoneculture” as the teaching idea and the culture of our school. Our school is trying topush forward teaching activities through measures such as students’ preview, teachingguidance, monthly exam, weekly exercise, students self-test,intensified training,cultivating the good ones and nurturing the less good ones and so on. Our school hasalso adopted and put into practice the idea of “regarding the students as thefoundation”, implementing the guiding thought of combining elite education andpublic education, paying more attention to the students’ status of subject andcultivating the students’ competences all-roundly.The methods of text analysis and case study are used to study the teachingpattern of Lingshou Senior Middle School.The result shows that the teaching pattern of Lingshou Senior Middle School hasfollowing some features: embodying student-oriented educational idea, embodyingthe advantage of modern teaching means, laying emphasis on discovery learning andso on.On the existing questions, the following reform measures are put forward. First,further strengthen the study of teaching reform, explore the teaching patterns whichare appropriate for Lingshou Senior Middle School to increase teaching efficiency;Second, strengthen teachers training, transform the teachers’ ideas. Third, further raisethe students’ initiative and positivity.
