During the 13 th five-year of the national economy and social development of the People's Republic of China,the development concept is innovation,coordination,green,open,sharing.Innovation is the first driving force for development.Traditional exam-oriented education emphasizes scores,emphasizes the uniqueness of the answer,and is slowly wiping out students' innovative thinking skills.If you want to wait for students to think about innovation after the innovation is too late,innovation ability training needs to start from the child.STEM Education originated in the United States,is to deal with the United States STEM(science,technology,engineering and mathematics)talent advantage weakened,the global competitiveness of the crisis put forward the strategy of education integration.Designed to develop students' interdisciplinary problem-solving skills and innovation.In recent years,STEM in the country obtains rapid development and dissemination.Different regions preliminary explore how to implement STEM Education in schools.Due to economic constraints and constraints on various aspects,the STEM Education is not well developed in China,and STEM Education in some developed areas has developed rapidly and achieved good results.And many areas can only look away,determined and powerless.Therefore,this study,combined with the status quo at home and abroad,to build a primary and secondary STEM Education model to look forward to provide reference for the STEM Education practice and theoretical research.This paper is divided into five parts:The first part is the introduction part,which is about the research background and significance of this research,the definition and theoretical basis of STEM Education,literature review,the research content and the method and the innovation.The second part of the research analyses the emergence and development of STEM Education,makes a distinction among STEM Education,STEAM Education and maker Education,analyzes the status quo of STEM education at home and abroad,summarizes the problems and shortcomings of STEM Education;On the basis ofdistinguishing Education mode and teaching mode,the third part puts forward some basic elements of educational model: basic idea,training goal,course content,teaching method,evaluation method and support condition,and constructs STEM Education model of primary and middle schools,On the basis of STEM education model in primary and middle schools,three kinds of STEM teaching models are constructed,which are STEM teaching mode based on classroom,STEM teaching model based on workshop and STEM teaching mode based on activity;In the fourth part,combines with the STEM teaching model based on activity,applies teaching design "no snow can also make a snowman" in concrete practice in Guangzhou ninety-seven middle school's three classes,the practice cycle is for a month,describes how to implement teaching from the three perspectives of case implementation methods,case implementation process and the analysis of the case implementation effects and the problems.The fifth part summarizes the main research results of this study:(1)Define the STEM education,and distinguish among STEM Education,STEAM Education and Maker Education.(2)Analyze and summarize the application status of primary and secondary STEM Education at home and abroad.(3)Construct primary and secondary STEM Education model,and applies STEM teaching model based on activity to teaching practice,analyzes its application effect.(4)On the basis of the construction of STEM education model in primary and secondary schools,three kinds of STEM teaching models are constructed,which are STEM teaching mode based on classroom,STEM teaching model based on workshop and STEM teaching mode based on activity,uses to guide the specific teaching practice of STEM Education.Finally,due to the short teaching practice cycle,the mode of application effect persuasion is lacking.
