Absorbing the nutrition of Chinese culture from classical poetry is one of theimportant ways to carry forward the traditional culture of China. In the mean time itimproves students’all-round development. Yet so far the teaching in poetry is in theplight of time–consuming instruction and poor effect. This reflects in the student’sless interest and narrow knowledge toward poetry and the inexplicit in evaluationaim and signal evaluation method.How to get out of the trouble? This thesis makes a study on how to improve theeffectiveness from the perspective of teaching evaluation. First of all, the thesispoints out the significance of multiple evaluation methods based on the explicitevaluation rules. Secondly, the teaching of poetry must be integrated with diversepoetry evaluation. Then the thesis stresses the evaluation function usage inevaluating thus improving the teaching and learning poetry. Finally, the thesismakes a teaching practice of Moonlight on the Spring River to verify theeffectiveness of poetry evaluation theory.Research shows, multiple evaluation is able to improve students’ interest inlearning poetry; the diverse evaluation methods riches the activity content thepoetry teaching conducted; the function of evaluation modifies the problems inteaching and learning, and the evaluation improves the qualities the students’classical poetry culture literacy.
