The college ideological and political theory lesson is the main channel and main position for college students’ideological and political education. Our nation attaches importance to the construction and reform of ideological and political theory lesson all the while, and the researches from experts and scholars are deeper and deeper. But the efficiency of ideological and political lesson is not powerful enough. It is a realistic and burning question. The impact on college students’improving of mental political will be directly related to the future of our country.The paper has gone into the efficiency of college ideological and political theory lesson by using the research methods through literature materials, questionnaire survey and observation. Based on learning the different literature materials, author laid enough theoretical foundation for the paper writing. Since the founding of new China, the university ideological and political theory classes have experienced lots of adjustment and reform, and have achieved good results and accumulated experience. But we must be clearly aware that there still exist problems about teaching efficiency. This article finds some problems what are existed in the class that affect the teaching efficiency through the questionnaire survey to college students, recovery, sorting, statistics and qualitative analysis. I also went into the classes by myself. The reasons for the problems are students’immature thought, their unconscious of subjectivity, university’s bad teaching management, influence from the society and families and so on. Therefore, this paper focuses on seeking countermeasures to ascend teaching efficiency of the university ideological and political classes. Such as that change the traditional teaching ideas, adopt advanced methods to teach, select and train caliber teachers and create good environment for the ideological and political theory course. After further research, this paper comes up with the principle which should be followed to strengthen the efficiency of the ideological and political theory lesson for the first time. I also sum up problems about the classes and measures to improve the teaching efficiency. It makes lessons better serve undergraduates, and makes efforts to foster students to form correct world outlook, view of life and sense of worth. It also helps to push forward the development and stability of our society.
