A Study Of The Education Of University Student Cadres

Currently, the number of various student cadres in all grades accounts for about a quarter of the total number of students in colleges and universities. The vast majorities of these student leaders study hard, have good academic performance and high ideological and moral standards; they are self-disciplinary and have good overall qualities. These student leaders have higher influence and prestige among other students. They are role models and elites in all college students. To strengthen the education of these students, to cultivate elites of qualified builders and reliable successors of the socialist cause from these students, is related to the matters of achieving educational goals of universities, producing successors of the Party’s cause, and ensuring the country’s prosperity and long-term stability. It is a great systematic project which is beneficial not only for the present, but also for the future. It has far-reaching significance and great value.This article sets its topic as the education of the university student cadres, starts from connotation, characteristics and roles of university student cadres. It elaborated the value and goal of university student cadres’ education, made an in-depth and detailed analysis for the current status of university student cadres’ educational work by the way of empirical investigation, described the main achievements of university student cadres’ education, revealed existing problems, and made an in-depth analysis of the causes of the problems. Finally, this article proposed five countermeasures and suggestions for university student cadres’ education, which are,1, Electing good student cadres;2, improving student cadres’ quality and ability;3, strengthening the education of creativity;4, enhancing mental quality;5, making efficient assessment and supervision. This article seeks to strengthen the ideological cultivation and enhance comprehensive capability, and to provide a reference for college student workers to strengthen the student cadres’ education, to contribute to the cultivation of high level, high-capacity, and high-quality university student cadres and to the production of a large number of qualified builders and reliable successor to the socialist causes.
