For a long time, China’s mathematics teaching and student life seriously out.Mathematics Teaching Returning to Life is now an international trend of developmentof mathematics curriculum reform. With the development of basic educationcurriculum reform, strengthen ties mathematics teaching and student life has becomethe focus of the current mathematics curriculum reform in China.In this paper, the study and research of life theory system, first of all, from theprimary school mathematics teaching in life the importance and necessity,"back tolife" of the international mathematical education reform and development trend,China’s problems in mathematics teaching and individual interest sparkedmathematical life thinking. Secondly, elaborated mathematics teaching to life at homeand abroad, and then defines the related concepts, and the concept of life, from themathematics curriculum standard of Freudenthal’s realistic mathematics educationthought, analysis of its theoretical basis. Finally, in mathematics teaching to life as thetheme, select one school in primary school mathematics teacher as the object of study,in school and classroom, study. To understand the status of primary school teachersusing interview method, observation method from the life oriented teaching ofmathematics teaching life consciousness, primary school teachers of mathematicsteaching life skills, mathematics teaching living behavior three aspects, and obtain themathematical teaching in life misunderstandings in practice: the life is equivalent tomathematical problems, neglect the essence of mathematics; vague, fuzzy, studentsdistractions; scene setting too far fetched, hinder the development of students’mathematical ability. The life oriented teaching strategies for misunderstanding: one isthe teachers to update their concepts of education, the correct understanding ofmathematics in life; two is a mining, transformation and integration of teachingmaterials, to find life material; three is the use of life oriented teaching mode, deepenthe understanding of mathematics; the four is the creation of life situation, promotethe mathematical experience; the five is to promote school and the family, thecommunity cooperation.
