This paper attempts to analyze Donghua University academic papers published in the textile, by the information contained in the textile papers. How to improve University disciplinary research competitiveness. By bibliometric perspective, analyzing respectively the number of textile papers, published in journals, papers Authors, disciplinary perspective, etc, Researching Donghua University Textiles disciplinary competitiveness. Through comparative analysis the papers contents of the similar University of Donghua, by the number of published journals, authors, content of the textile papers, to understand the advantages and disadvantages of Donghua University Textile disciplines in the same class universities in the country, Giving the factual data of Donghua University’s Textiles discipline for the future further development and improved research and competitiveness.This paper’s data source came from the Chinese Science Citation Database, statisticed five universities textile disciplines papers nearly six years (2007-2012). The paper is divided into six chapters, the first chapter introduces the research background and research ideas, the second chapter describes the composition of textile disciplines and research competitiveness evaluation purposes, the third chapter analyzes Donghua University Textile disciplines papers, from the number of papers, published in the journal, the topics covered, papers Authors, cited case, the perspective of a funded research competitiveness of Donghua University, the fourth Chapter comparative analysis the papers of Donghua University, Wuhan textile University, Tianjin Polytechnic University, Zhejiang University of Technology, Xi’an University of Engineering.
