China, as a large agricultural nation, the development of agricultural economyoccupies an important position in the national economy. In recent years, along with tthe great-leap-forward development of Chinese economic, agricultural developmenthas also made a lot of achievement. But in the back of these results, it is at the cost ofnatural resource and ecological environment. In China, the agricultural productivity islow, the input of modern science and technology is low, environmental pollution isserious, the ability to resist natural disasters is not high, regional developmentimbalances and soon. These energy can not be aggregated directly.Integrated Systemof Environmental and Economic Accounting(SEEA) mentioned material flowaccounting and currency accounting are unable to reflect regional resources condition.This paper will use regional emergy flow accounting and GIS spatial analysistechnology to study the space distribution features of regional emergy, to expandresearch methods and application fields of emergy analysis.Firstly, the paper introduces the development history of emergy analysis,domestic and foreign research results, and the theory system.Secondly, from natural, economic, social and sustainable development fouraspects, to evaluate the development situation of China’s agricultural ecologicalsystem2001-2010, and31provinces in2010, by using emergy analysis method. Thestudy found that Chiese agricultural ecological system develops well. There areobvious differences between the east and the west in China. Agricultural developmentlevel presents irregular change. Xinjiang and eastern coastal areas’ emergy output percapita are relatively prominent, which measures life level of agricultural labor. Thesustainable development comprehensive index can reflect the differences amongregional agricultural ecosystem sustainable development.Thirdly, this paper studies the space distribution of China’s agriculturalecological system by using the GIS spatial analysis technology.The global spacegathered effect of input and output indices are remarkable, and adjacent regions havespatial autocorrelation. From Moran scatter and LISA significant diagrams of emerycomprehensive index,31provinces agricultural ecological system reflect local spatialcorrelation.Lastly, based on distribution characteristics of China’s agricultural ecologicalsystem to put forward sustainable development suggestions: protect ecologicalenvironment and reduce environmental pressure; modify the industrial structure andadjust emergy input; enhance sciene technology and increase emergy output; improveprofessional quality and improve the output per capita;regional differentiation policyand realize the sustainable development of agricultural ecological system. In a word, the ability of China’s agricultural ecosystem sustainable developmenthas improved in recent years.But Chinese region is vast, natural conditions, economicdevelopment, science and technology, the talented person quality has great regionaldifferences. So the regional sustainable development, and space gathered distributionpatterns of all the emery index are different.On the road of sustainable development,Chinese agriculture still need to work hard.
