Most college students in China are between18to24years old which the middle period of youth is. The physiology of college student has developed into adult, while his psychology is unstable and immature. During this period, the physical, mental and social elements are mixed together, which can easily cause psychological unbalance and lead to psychological problems. According to relative statistics, the incidence rate of college students’psychological problems was20.23%in1989, and in1999, the number increased to29.30%. A survey conducted on3000students of some college in Shenyang showed that nearly half students somehow had psychological problems and more than half students had the tendency of crankiness. There are studies shows that quite proportion those students who had psychological problem never seek professional psychological help actively. Seeking professional psychological help is a process that individuals ask professionals for help to solve or mitigate problems when suffering from psychological confusion. The study on mechanism of seeking professional psychological help and its influencing factor in China has achieved fruitful results, while there are few studies focusing on the transformation from existed achievements into operational intervention strategy. Therefore, this article based on healthy faith theory, took questionnaire of attitudes toward seeking professional psychological help as measure tool, came to some conclusions by experiments and tried to make some practical and specific suggestions of intervention strategies about college students seeking professional psychological help.On account of healthy faith theory, this paper firstly separately designed intervention strategies in the form of course (about90minutes) based on healthy mode and group guidance (about120minutes). Then, the article taking questionnaire of attitudes toward seeking professional psychological help as measure tool, the previous empirical psychological heath courses and classic growth group guidance as intervention strategies, conducted prior and after experiments on contrast group, traditional intervention group and new intervention group. The experimental data were processed by variance analysis and led to following conclusions:First, the course intervention strategy based on health belief model and psychological health course based on experiment both make college students seek professional psychological help more actively. There is no remarkable difference between them; Second, the new course intervention strategy based on health belief model and traditional health course both can enhance college students’trust in psychological consultation and psychological expert, and there is no significant disparity between them; Third, traditional health course intervention strategy can increase college students’ tolerance towards social prejudice about seeking professional psychological help, while the new course intervention strategy based on health belief model has no evident effect in this aspect; Fourth, the group intervention strategy based on health belief model can makes college students trust psychological expert even more and seek professional psychological help with more active attitude, while traditional growth group guidance has no obvious effect in this aspect.Based on the conclusions above, some strategies were proposed such as "set up a required course of mental health education for freshmen" and "popularize group intervention among students who need close attention.
