Interpersonal communication is an important activity in college students’life on campus. Many researches show that Interpersonal communication is the biggest trouble that college students face. As a special group in colleges and universities, Impoverished college students are suffering the big pressure from family and society. Compared with students from regular families, their Interpersonal communication is more worrying. If we cannot solve the troubles, discomfort and obstacles among the impoverished students, their physical and mental health will be affected badly and even worse that will affect the social stability and development. This research which selects the obstacles among poor students Interpersonal communication has the certain practical significance.Among the present papers, there are basically in the form of scale and use data to reflect the impoverished college students’ interpersonal relationship. This paper mainly aims to find the reasons on obstacles among impoverished students interpersonal communication and discusses the process and methods of social work intervention with the method of observation and interviews, as well as based on the questionnaire survey and the author’participation and summary to the related work of impoverished students. The process of social work intervention mainly adopts team work and case study. The6group activities will help them poor students change adverse cognition, recognize the importance of interpersonal communication, share their feelings, raise their social consciousness and learn different kinds of communication methods and skills in order to improve their self-acceptance, self-confirmation and interpersonal communication. After the team work, the author does the assessment through self feelings and others’evaluation on the effects of group and summarizes the difficulties in the group activities. Group activity results in the process of interpersonal communication showed that they gained a lot, and they made it clear that the future will participate in similar activities. At the same time, in order to better help the impoverished students the author selects two cases to tutor. With the case study the author could do the one-to-one and face to face tutoring including completely showing the social work----eceiving case, intervention and assessment. With the support of social network poor students communication ability has been improved effectively and their physical and mental health get an all-round development.Finally, the author reflects on the school social work, the small group of advantage and case work methods, and put forward the deficiencies and improvement.
