According to the needs of teaching, teacher divides the course content into the unit, for-mulates the feasible unit teaching goal, and carries on the practice and reconsidering of the junior middle school chemistry unit teaching. In practice, it has proved that unit teaching has positive pole in chemistry’s learning and teacher’s teaching.The first part elaborates the significance of the unit teaching practice of chemistry in junior middle school from the question proposed, the aim and method of study. The author introduces the sprouting and the developing process of the unit teaching at home and abroad. In the second part, the author defines the meaning of the unit from the angle of how to construction unit, and state how to practice the unit teaching in chemistry according to "the unit". In addition, the author introduces the main theory basis and the characteristic of the unit teaching in this part. There is a questionnaire to survey the situation of chemical teaching design in the third part. Therefore, this research has practical significance. In the fourth part, the unit teaching in chemistry is put into practice combining the specific case. At the same time, the research elaborates the procedure of the unit teaching and analyses the effect of this research. The author summarizes the conclusion, the insufficiency and the forecast to the following research of this study in the final part.
