In the late1930s,analytic philosophy combined with philosophy of pragmatism,formed a new ideological trend.Richard Rorty as the main representative of the new pragmatism was the product of the this new trend,it presents the "anti","after","multiple"and other features.Rorty raised doubts on the nature of philosophy triggered a reflecting about essentialism,foundationalism and expressionism.Education and philosophy have a full range of contact. So,the emergence of new philosophy will cause the education field fluctuation.Rorty’s new pragmatism by the wind of postmodernism,gradually impact on educational research of our country.Scientific rationalism has long entrenched in the field of educational research in China.So far,our educational research still remains a matter of subject-object dualistic way of thinking. Since the founding of new China education textbooks and papers published nearly three decades,the educational research showed some problems like neglect the education of the complexity and uniqueness,have too much emphasis on empirical and quantitative research,adhere to the"value free" concept.In the educational research,subjective value factors were been complete rejected.In view of these phenomena,Rorty presents consistent coordination view in order to eliminate the objectivity of subject-object dichotomy depend on.Rorty by weakening the natural science supreme status to find out the fact and value in the rational points in educational research.It shows that educational research is not"value-free",but the researchers themselves have"subjective"value of a load activities.Educational research constantly looking for more reasonable research paradigm all the time.Plural cultural development, the science is in the constant change of medium factors,contributing to educational research paradigm aware of the limitations of science and humanism rival.Meanwhile,the education research paradigm to break the two camps pattern, but also the scientific spirit and humanistic spirit of common requirements.By inspiration of Rorty’s new pragmatism, educational research changed the traditional epistemology essentialism position to construct of the practice oriented research paradigm.Rorty philosophy care for happiness and personal experience, expand the horizons education research paradigm. The happiness and well-being as a starting point of educational research,lead to re-examine human values in the educational research.lt is not only a new interpretation of the individual life, but also close to the ultimate goal of educational research.In twentieth century,"Linguistic turn"changed the phenomenon of educational research on language"disregard",language really conscious sense into the educational research field of vision.However,the language on the educational research suffered the effects of different genres in the "Linguistic turn".Conflicts happens when foreign language combined with local research.These resulted in the expression and understanding of language confusion.Based on inheriting the traditional preference for language philosophy,Rorty proposed language contingency creating different language symbiotic atmosphere, offering the possibility of otherness into the local language.In short, Rorty pays attention to the theory and practice of the spirit of the future, provides a limitless possibilities for education research and development.
