Ancient elementary teaching materials are the most important carrier of ancient Chinesechildren enlightenment education. In the history of the development of ancient elementaryteaching materials reflects the educational characteristics and the value of the times at thattime. It has been developing for thousands of years, there must be desirable merits. What’smore, it has accumulated rich experience compiling. In teaching material and teaching method.This inspires us that we should consider the relations between ancient elementary teachingmaterials and children’s teaching Chinese as a foreign language, and to explore itssignificance.The main research methods of this paper which have been used are document research,historic research, compared research, etc. From the view of second language to researchancient elementary teaching materials, analysing the adaptability of ancient elementaryteaching materials and children’s teaching Chinese as a foreign language from teasing outancient elementary teaching materials,“Sanbaiqian” as the representative.The whole paper contains the following aspects:The first part is the introduction. It introduces the basic conditions of this research from theorigin of the topics, the related research review and the research significance.The second part introduces ancient elementary teaching materials’s four majorcharacteristics and the basic situation of "Sanbaiqian". At the same time, ancient elementaryteaching materials explore its contemporary value in children’s teaching Chinese as a foreignlanguage and explore the adaptation between ancient elementary teaching materials andchildren’s teaching Chinese as a foreign language from teaching material’s form and content.The third part to do a detailed analysis with foreign children’s Chinese textbooks’s currentsituation, and compares ancient elementary teaching materials with children’s teachingChinese as a foreign language from four aspects,then,tries to find and sum up the effectivesuggestions and methods for textbooks compilation of children’s teaching Chinese as a foreignlanguage.The fourth part analyses the current situation of children’s teaching Chinese as a foreignlanguage. Through the teaching methods of ancient elementary teaching materials put forwardfour enlightenment on teaching children of Chinese as a foreign language:strengthen the focus on literacy, focus on reading and reciting, emphasis on the difference between readingand writing, Pay attention to writing and Calligraphy Education.The final part is a conclusion. Summarized the basic content of the thesis and express thewriter’s and some suggestions about this paper, point out the deficiencies, offer insights intopromising directions for future research.
