In recent years, along with the yearly enrollment of the Master education, Master graduates has become a force that not to be neglected in the labor market, and what the employability that a Master graduate student should have has become the universities, businesses and students topic of common concern. In this study, the author hopes using the competency model to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the qualities and its ability that Master of Finance and Economics graduates should possess, thus enhance the probability of successful employment.In this paper, with a literature study, the author systematically combs the relevant researches on graduate employability and competency, and surveys on enterprise workers job on finance and economics through to the "Master of Finance and Economics graduate employability survey questionnaire " that based on the Spencer generic competency dictionary, got that the most important competence on work is communication and logical thinking, and drawn a four-dimensional competency model.With the support of competency model, the author then surveys and interviews to the current Finance and Economics Master graduates, finding that they have the problems of lack of influence, lack of the ability to think, and lack of the companies cognition.Finally the author analyzes the causes of the employability of the Finance and Economics Master graduates from the universities, instructors, students and families aspects, and then makes corresponding suggestions that can make colleges to cultivate more talents, makes companies to get better human resources, and makes graduates to obtain some real guidance to find more suitable jobs.
