It is a worldwide problem that college students get jobs difficultly today, which can be a reflection of the extent of matching higher education with social requirement, that is to say, the issue of college students'employment could reflect the ability of sustainable developing of higher education. To enhance college students'employability is essential for solving the employment problem. Curriculum is an important carrier for education. It is closed related with quality assurance of higher education to improve college students'employability through developing curriculum. To develop college curriculum, which is aimed for cultivating college students'employability, is not only a crucial method of improving college students'employability, but a main trend for higher education.British universities have given great attention to curriculum development for enhancing graduate employability and gained remarkable success. This paper focuses on researching and analyzing British universities'curriculum types based on enhancing graduate employability. Three main curriculum types are given and discussed in the form of analyzing examples. In the end, this paper summarizes the commonness and diversity of different curriculum types through comparative study, which are for the purpose of enhancing graduate employability.This thesis is divided into five chapters:The first chapter is an overall investigation of the history of employability; state the theories of employability and its component parts. And analyze the different curriculum types that based on enhancing graduate employability in the UK, advance three main curriculum types.The second chapter analyzes the curriculum type 1 which is emphasis on the problem solving; this part takes the Nursing subject of the University of Manchester as example to elaborate on the training program and curriculum type, and then make an evaluation.The third chapter analyzes the curriculum type 2 which is emphasis on the cultivating through the whole semesters, this part takes the BSc (Hons) Business and Technology subject of Sheffield Hallam University as example to elaborate on the curriculum type, and then make an evaluation.The fourth chapter analyzes the curriculum type 3 which is emphasis on the curriculum of module, this part takes the Creative Writing subject of Bath Spa University College as example to elaborate on the curriculum type, and then make an evaluation.The fifth chapter discusses the three main curriculum types that based on enhancing graduate employability in the UK, make comparisons among the three curriculum types, and then summarize the commonness and diversity.
