Ideological and political theory course is not only a compulsory course ofuniversity graduate students, but also the main channel of ideological and politicaleducation of graduate students. It is also the specialized subject construction’s themeof our ideological and political education. It can train students’ professional quality ofideological and political theory, resist all kinds of Ideological trends erosion, guidethe graduate students to establish correct world outlook and the outlook on life andvalues, and get the all-round development which has great practical significance forgraduate students. However, for a long time, some colleges and universities keeptraditional teaching concept, teaching method, and teaching mode in the ideologicaland political theory course teaching, which makes class stand still and it can’t keeppace with the times, even lead to ideological and political theory course teaching in astate of marginalization. Recently, in universities’ graduate students ideological andpolitical education tends to be weakened discipline as well as academic misconductarise in graduate students. Colleges and universities should profoundly realize thatwe should not only stress graduate students’ of graduate students’ professional quality,but also strengthen students’ ideological and political education in the process ofcultivating mechanism’s reform and comprehensively improving the quality ofgraduate students,further improve the teaching effect of graduate students ideologicaland political theory course. With the development of society and changes of the time,the teaching system and the content of traditional ideological and political theorycourse should be reformed and innovated, It is necessary to develop and improve thecorresponding measures,The ideological and political theory course should play apositive role in educating people. Therefore, if we want to improve the graduatestudents’ ideological and political quality, moral quality, psychological quality andacute political vision, enhance the systemic,pertinence, effectiveness of graduate students ideological and political education in colleges and universities, we need tofirmly grasp the pulse times formly, keep pace with the time, continue to deepenteaching reform of graduate students’ ideological and political theory course andinject new vitality to the ideological and political education,so as to create a newsituation of the theory teaching for the graduate students’ ideological and politicalcourse.This article includes seven parts. The first chapter is the introduction whichintroduces the background and significance of topics, and makes a brief introductionto the research status at home and abroad, lists the research methods, introduces thearrangement of the content; the second chapter introduces the development ofgraduate students’ ideological and political theory course; the third chapter is thepresent status of graduate students’ ideological and political theory course and reasonanalysis; the chapter four introduces the necessity and significance of the reform andinnovation of graduate students’ ideological and political theory course; the fifthchapter is about straggly study from five aspects: the discipline construction, teachingcontent, teaching mode, evaluation method,and the teachers’ team construction;chapter six introduces the prospect for graduate students’ ideological and politicaltheory course; finally the last part is the summary.
