Analysis And Research Of The Sports College Entrance Examination Score In Hubei Province From2010to2012

The several adjustments since2010of the exam items of Hubei Provincial College Entrance Examination for sports exam from the original five fixed items to four compulsory items plus a one-out-of-two optional item turned out to be popular among examinees. After three year’s implementation of the new scheme, despite the certain improvement of test means, some prominent problems have not been well solved. With respect to college enrollment, the admission rate of female students is higher than that of the male students, which means girls score higher than boys in the exam items. Therefore, it’s necessary to conduct an in-depth analysis on the different scorings of male students and female students in different items.Based on an analysis by means of mathematical statistical on the examinees’scoring on different items in Hubei Sports Exams from2010to2012, this paper makes an attempt to explore the basic scoring regularities and trends of the examinees. The statistics points to the following features of scoring:(1) The test of4compulsory exams, the examinee score relatively high project is leapfrog, The lowest score is800meters race and shot. There are striking differences between boys and girls in different exam items,in the same test.(2) even in the same exam item, coefficients of difficulty are different for boys and girls. The candidates showed good adaptability to the test in three years;(3)800-meter running contributes most to the total score.(4) for optional items, while boys tend to score higher in5-meter3-turning shuttle run, girls excel in triangle hurdle run; Based on the findings, the author raises relevant suggestions, including intensifying the targeted training on more difficult items, and turning the optional item to compulsory one.
