Research On The Application Of Powerpoint In English Vocabulary Teaching In N Middle School

N junior high school in Ningxia was chosen as a case for this study, through observation and survey in the early stage of the study, PowerPoint was widely used in classroom-teaching by the English teachers in this school,but the ability of English teacher using PowerPoint to teach vocabulary, the effect of teaching vocabulary by PowerPoint and how to improve English teachers’ level of teaching vocabulary by PowerPoint need to be studied. The practice investigation and data analysis of the current situation of vocabulary teaching were made in the study, and the investigation focused on the attitude of students towards the vocabulary teaching by PowerPoint, the students’ learning effect and the methods of teachers using PowerPoint, then, the teachers and students were interviewed about the problems existing in the investigation. The investigation showed that there are some prominent problems in the process of teachers using PowerPoint for vocabulary teaching, such as lack of situational, interactive and knowledge migration ability of teachers using PowerPoint for vocabulary teaching and the way of evaluation single and so on. In order to resolve the problems existing in the PowerPoint teaching process of N junior high school in Ningxia, the strategies and suggestions were putted forward. According to the proposed improvement strategies, the teaching case for N junior high school and implements case by class teaching were redesigned, then, the effect is evaluated and analyzed. The Study has a good effect on improving the enthusiasm of students’ vocabulary learning, and promoting teaching interaction between teachers and students.The study is aimed at the optimal design of vocabulary teaching in N junior high school. It has a certain practical value. It is useful for the teaching effect of using PowerPoint for vocabulary teaching and improving the students’ability of learning vocabulary.
