With the speeding up of popularization, internationalization anddiversification of higher education, great changes have taken placein the teaching education system. As representative of Chinese topuniversities, in the process of teacher education institutionschanging, research universities have found their legal status in thetraditional pedagogy subject areas by setting up completedisciplines, enriching education resources, and broadening theiracademic visions as well as a series of academic and culturaladvantages. However, compared with normal research universities,non-normal research universities, which are affected by theircollege-founding tradition, humanities environment andcomplicated political, economic factors, have not well developed.Reasonable positioning is beneficial to the achievement ofcollege-founding ideals, and it is also the key to rapid and healthydevelopment of colleges. The solution of the positioning of college education is not only a premise and guarantee that helpseducational colleges in normal research universities find their wayout and have their own features, but also a historical mission givenby the era.In this dissertation, by analyzing the changing process of theteaching education system, the establishment and development ofresearch universities education institutes are reviewed from theperspective of dynamical and historical angles. In addition, thisarticle selects13research universities as samples, andinvestigates the development positioning of educational colleges inChinese research universities by using literature method,comparative method, questionnaire method, interview method andother research methods. The investigation reveals that comparedwith2traditional normal research universities, non-normalresearch universities in China have the following problems:assimilation of aims; centralization of college-founding level;vagueness of subject development problems; simplification ofservice direction positioning. The existence of the positioningproblems of non-normal research universities, on the one hand, arethe results of the imperfection of market mechanism, thecentralized management system, together with the long-standingcultural barriers, on the other hand, it also related to the unique "imitation" of traditional college-founding, and weak cohesion ofbenefit community coagulability. In China, the development ofeducational colleges in non-normal research universities shouldgradually achieve standardization of college-founding, diversificat-ion of goals; decentralization of college-founding level, clearness ofsubject development and diversification of service direction.
