With the economic and social development,the link betweenhigher education and social development become closer. Theuniversity gradually steps into the social center from the fringes ofsociety, the social service function of university is increasinglyhighlighted. In recent years, With the advancement of teachereducation reform in China, how to adapt to the needs of NormalEducation Reform to achieve a successful transition has beenbecoming the focus of attention. With respect to personnel trainingand scientific research, the social service functions is weaknesses innormal education transition, how to achieve a successful transition ofthis function is directly related to success or failure in thetransformation of education college. Therefore, The transformationof social service function in Normal University College of Education isworth our serious study subject. Through questionnaire and interview, a comprehensiveunderstanding of the situation of social services in20different levelsand different types of normal university education institute of socialservice, found the following problems existing in the college ofeducation in social service activities: inadequate attention to socialservice functions, social service agencies are not perfect, imperfectsocial services supporting measures, social service object is singleand social service content is narrow and so on. The cause of thisphenomenon mainly includes two aspects, on the one hand is theNormal University educational philosophy is not perfect, the socialservice function of positioning is not clear; on the other hand is theNormal University lack of running autonomy, government lack ofpolicy guidance and law construction, government’s financial supportis poor. Especially there is the assessment guide that attaches greatimportance to research and despises the social service. Therefore,countries should continue to improve the normal university’sautonomy of running a school, improve the policy and lawconstruction of normal university social service function, increasefinancial support to the normal university social service, take thesocial service achievement assessment into the normal university.For Normal University College of Education, It need to improve socialservice consciousness, to attach great importance to play the social service function; to put social service function in a scientific andreasonable position; to expand the social service object; to enrich thesocial service mode; to properly handle the relationship betweenindividual social service main body, so that Normal University Collegeof Education can improve the operating efficiency and promoteeconomic and social development.
