On The Transformation Of The Class Teacher’s Role From The Perspective Of Education Socialization

The role of class teacher in force should be the role adapted to essential qualities oriented education. But the practice usually deviate from requirement. By analyzing of the result of questionnaire to W high school in Huanggang and searching on the Internet for related research, role of class teacher in force is concluded. Firstly, compared to the traditional role, the role in force is not change essentially. Secondly, it’s pretended democratic but in deeded authoritarian. Thirdly, the class teacher is too deeply involved in the management of class.These problems above lead to more problems like great role pressure, role intense problem, role ambiguity problem and students’lack of social adaptability. Four reasons lead to the problems above are summarized: firstly, in the role design there is unreasonable party. Secondly, the exam system, target management and performance evaluation system of class teacher are unreasonable too.Thirdly, democracy is only indirect requirement of essential qualities oriented education. Fourthly, role cognition of the class teachers is out of time.Change of role of class teachers is emergent, but it can’t be led by essential qualities oriented education because the problems are partly caused by it. As a educational thought, education socialization is essentially identical with essential qualities oriented education, but with clearer target and is more suitable for role design of class teacher. Meanwhile, education socialization is the essential requirement of education and fits need of reality. Based on the relationship of education socialization and essential qualities oriented education, considering the reality, the transform of role of class teacher from the point of education socialization will not add new role, but only have some change in the two dimensions.Generally, the transform is based on sole of class teacher under essential qualities oriented education.From the point of education socialization, four transforms are needed. They are transform from implementer of school plan to designer of class management, transform from executor of class affairs to leader of class management, transform from authoritarian role in class to model citizen in class, transform from contact of parents to contact for class’s social activities.Besides, we do some further elaboration to the reason and method for carrying on the transform.
