From the point of the current middle school fine arts class, module teaching as the basic unit has become the main way of teaching. For a long time, however, basic principle of color and painting color teaching in middle school fine arts does not cause enough attention, at the same time, the new curriculum standard does not integrate color teaching as a specific module course. The No.1high school affiliated to CCNU in Wuhan city, developed the school-based curriculum module teaching of fine arts, color teaching as an art module is introduced into the teaching practices, the curriculum system consist in the form of thematic teaching contents, and the teaching implementation process both modeling and flexibility, we take it as case, to demonstrate the feasibility and necessity of color module classes. In color module curriculum contents arrangement and teaching methods, students learning the basic theory of color, to cultivate the students’color sensibility, pay attention to broaden its artistic vision, improve the level of its aesthetic and artistic accomplishment; Painting creation practices emphasize color using as free tool of emotional expression, and meet the students requirements using color to express themselves, give full play to the emotional function of color in art education. Color module courses also as an important unit in fine arts teaching, makes up the lack of color teaching.Thus, to promote the color of the module teaching, the first condition is that student has the cognitive level and learning needs, the corresponding teaching material developments and the necessary material conditions as well as the indispensable conditions for promotion. At the same time color as a module teaching promotion, the function of fine arts education and the audience object influence also has the vital significance. On the basis of the teaching goal, the color module class as a new module of fine arts teaching, for schools, teachers and students put forward higher request accordingly. In addition, through the process of teaching activities and the results of investigation, the necessary teaching reflection, and judge its effects and problems, are the most important ways to improve of teaching methods and make teaching progress.
