The development of educational informationization drives the innovation of teaching mode in university, and the appearance of flipped classroom provides new ways of thinking and methods for the innovation of teaching mode. The flipped classroom reverses the traditional teaching process by use of information technology, in which learners complete the preliminary study of knowledge by watching instructional videos or learning courseware and other learning resources before class; during class time, learners achieve the knowledge internalization through collaborative inquiry and interactive communication. The flipped classroom focuses on students’ability training, creates free learning space for learners, and also builds a personalized learning environment, as well as increases the chance of interaction between teachers and students.To explore how to apply the flipped classroom model in the teaching of universities, this study attempted to apply the flipped classroom model in the curriculum of The Design and Development of Internet Educational Resources. At first, the writer analyzed the goals and contents of the curriculum, learners’characteristics and learning needs, and designed the supportive environment of study, learning objectives, learning activities, learning resources, learning process and the methods of learning evaluation on the base of relevant theories of flipped classroom, therefore constructed the implementation procedure of flipped classroom; Then, the teaching practice of flipped classroom was carried out, in the meantime, the writer collected data by observation, questionnaires, interviews and other research methods, and analyzed the teaching results of flipped classroom; Finally, in order to provide reference for future research, the writer not only summarized the advantages and disadvantages when flipped classroom was applied in the curriculum of The Design and Development of Internet Educational Resources, but also put forward some useful strategies and analyzed the prospect of flipped classroom which was widely applied in the teaching of universities.The teaching practice has proved that the model of flipped classroom is useful for the teaching of the curriculum of The Design and Development of Internet Educational Resources. The model can greatly motivate the learners’ motivation, encourage them to actively participate in learning activities, as well as is conducive to cultivate learners’ information literacy, learning abilities and collaborative ability. However, it also is found that, if the model of flipped classroom will be widely used in teaching of universities, many problems need to be considered and. further researched, such as the applicability of learning contents and the limitation of class size and so on.
