The phusical educationis one of the most important part of school education. School physical education isto lay a foudation of lifelong physical education. Middle school students have a strong physique is very important, it’s a manifestation of national vitality, it’s a symbol of socialcivilization progresses, it’s an important symbol of the comrehensive strength of our country. However along with the economic developing, people’s expectations of middle school students is getting higher, therefore, leraning and entrance pressure is becoming greater, the students have no enough time and energy to engage in physical exercise except perhaps snack and learning time. Physical fitness of the middle school students decline year by year is an indisputable fact. Faced with this situation, the relevant departmentof the state has formulated a serirs of policies to improve the physical fitness of students. To safeguard the healthy development of their physical and mental health. Middle school physical education is the one part that must be concerned. the pysical and mental development condition of students will directly determined by the quality of physical education.In order to more accurately understand the condition of middle-school sports teaching in wuhan city, this paper randomly selected from the no.1middle school in wuhan city,30a middle school and high school were investigated, to one of the90teachers,400students handed out questionnaires.The later is summarized and analysis of relevant findings, found out about the problems existing in the sports teaching of middle school, puts forward some solutions to the problems.This paper adopts the method of literature survey, on-the-spot investigation, various research methods of interview survey conducted the research to the middle school sports teaching situation of Wuhan, the specific research results are as follows:1.Ignore the functions of school physical education. In the "social environment only fraction theory", schools and families pay more attention to students’ academic achievement, neglecting students’ all-round development of morality, so the school sports teaching is neglected.2.The concept of school sports is out-dated. Parts of the school’s backward ideas resulted in the means of new teaching is not well carried,even some old teaching methods will used in the teaching activities. It becomes dull as ditch water, so that the students lose interest.3.Teaching content and objectives are not clear. School is a most common mistakes of sports is the sports teaching and sports be confused, only pay attention to various levels of sports achievements.4.Lack of sports facilities and safety awareness is not strong. According to the survey, due to lack of attention to the school sports teaching, sports funds, most of the schools are lack of sports facilities. Also found that schools are weakly in safety consciousness, does not pay attention to sport safety, students are lack of safety awareness.
