Happiness has always been a common goal in the historical development processof human society. Although everyone treats happiness differently, the same thing is thateveryone constantly endeavor to achieve their own happiness. Owing to differenteconomic situations, levels of education, social cognition, interests and personalitycaused by different social background, people have different opinions on happiness.Under such circumstances, different views of happiness are inevitable. On the onehand, contemporary college students undergo the Chinese policy of reform andopening up which was carried out step by step in their growth, enjoying greathappiness which was brought by huge material and spiritual achievements; on the otherhand, they are also absorbing the western culture, influenced by western culture, andfacing the choice of multicultural and pluralistic life value. As a special social group,college students’ understanding of happiness and how to help students establish acorrect view of happiness have became the important content of Ideological andPolitical Education under the new situation, and have a great significance in helpingstudents establish a correct view of life values, forming healthy psychology, andpromoting the construction of socialist harmonious society. This paper has made awide range of investigation on college students’ view of happiness based on thesummary of college students’ happiness education, and put forward some methods toimprove contemporary education of college students’ view of happiness aimed at theexisting problems.First, this paper summarizes contemporary college students’ happiness education.This article starts with the connotations of happiness and happiness view and explainsthe connotation of college students’ happiness education; explores the significance ofcollege students’ happiness education based on helping students establish a correctview of life values, forming healthy psychology, and dealing with the relationshipbetween society and the others correctly; and delineates college students’ happinesseducation from the cognitive ability of happiness, the ability of experience happinessto the ability of creating happiness. Secondly, this paper makes a empiricalinvestigation to analyze the present situation of college students’ happiness view. Thisempirical investigation is around the contemporary college students’ understanding ofhappiness, college students’ evaluation of college students’, and the influence factors of college students’ happiness view. This paper teased out the misunderstanding existedin college students’ happiness view and found out the reasons. Finally, this paper putsforward some methods of contemporary college students’ happiness education.This paper finds out the school path to educate college students’ happiness viewby strengthening Marxism’s view of happiness education and humanistic qualityeducation, pay attention to psychological health education and emphasize on work andcreative education; This paper finds out the family path to educate college students’happiness view by creating a warm and harmonious family environment, establishing agood image of the parents, and strengthening the communication and exchangebetween relatives; this paper finds out the social path to educate college students’happiness view by upholding the advanced socialist culture, playing a positive guidingfunction, improving the social employment environment; this paper finds out thepersonal path to educate college students’ happiness view by improving their moralqualities, tempering their willpower, participating actively in social practice, learningto care for and communicate with the others.
