To make a strong country, you must first make people stronger, To make the success of the revolution, you must first Arouse new people. With the completion of the national unity in the form by the Nanjing National Government, China ushered in a decade favorable opportunity of building, as well as a period of double historic mission both Salvation and construction, Social education had been given the Comprehensive function of nurturing Chinese people’s wisdom, power, spirit and Vigorously carried up in this context.This article explores the social education in Hunan province governed by Nanjing National Government between1928and1937.one of the reasons is Social education in China has ten years of development and accumulation, and the country enters into the construction period of relatively stable, The other is many factors caused the Hunan social education more representative. Based on the research of the Hunan social education during this period, in order to do a bit of useful supplement for the subject of social education, at the same time, also find some historical experience for the development of education.After1928, the political situation of Hunan tends to be stable. Also, the social education had laid a good foundation, and Hunan people’s democratic consciousness had been awakening. Under the background of the national development and prosperity of social education, Hunan government and education made joint efforts to make Hunan social education had been greater achievements. Social education institutions such as Public education center, public schools, libraries, public gymnasium and so on got rapid development, the content of social education is extended to text, livelihoods, health, sports, music, drama and so on each aspect. Despite the ups and downs of Hunan politics blocked the development of social education, but it is not only twinning in the Midwest, also occupies an important position in the whole country, especially the private social education was very flourishing. In terms of effect, the social education popularized people’s basic education, improve the whole quality of Hunan people, also to a certain extent, made up for the deficiency of the school education in Hunan, enrich the cultural life of residents, enhances people’s national concept and national consciousness. However, the national mood since modern times made social education influenced by political power, and inevitably, beyond the reality of the state of the union, which caused a huge gap between its policy and implementation, thoughts and practical, system and construction. In terms of Hunan, the lack of social education teachers the public response is not positive, the deficiencies of the unbalanced development of social education, always restricts the development of Hunan social education.
