The Study On The Penetration Of The Mathematical Culture In The Mathematics Part Of College Entrance Examination Papers

After a new round of curriculum reform, a certain mathematical cultural content is added to the mathematics part of the college entrance examination papers in some areas, which became the highlight of the college entrance examination papers. However, few studies are conducted on the penetration of the mathematical culture in the college entrance examination papers. Current study is only based on individual topics or the paper of a province in a certain year.Through literature and case analysis, this article has collected and studied the extant literature about mathematical culture in the first body part and then summed up the trends of mathematical cultural studies. Combined with the mathematical cultural concepts that some scholars have defined, this article has redefined the mathematical culture.In the second body part, this article used the mathematics part of college entrance examination papers of Hubei Province in2009-2013as the research object, first selected college entrance examination papers which are typical and rich in mathematical cultural background and creatively divided these into test on penetration of mathematical history, penetration of mathematical beauty, penetration of mathematical applications and penetration of mathematical language according to background materials. In this category we analyzed mathematical cultural backgrounds of a variety of papers and how it reflected the mathematical culture. At last the article also explored the aspects which can also strengthen that mathematical culture may penetrate.In the third body part, the article first studied the distributions of questions in the college entrance examination papers about mathematical culture through the method of tables, then creatively divided the patterns of penetrations to the mathematical culture in the college entrance examination papers into the additional form, replicated form, compliant form, implicit form and the method of the highest level referred to the studies of other scholars. At last the article also presented some of our own advices on how to better examine the penetration of mathematical culture.Finally, we analyzed the teaching inspirations and offer some valuable guidance to the first-line math teachers about the mathematics college entrance examination papers penetrated in tests of mathematical culture.
