The college entrance examination has been reforming, and the questions in the paper alsohave been in innovation. In2004, with a new round of basic education curriculum reformhaving started, the Ministry of Education Examination Center allowed11provinces and citiesto present the college entrance examination questions by themselves, for example, Tianjin,Fujian, Guangdong, Liaoning, Hubei and so on. And by2013, there were18provinces andcities throughout the country who could make the college entrance examination propositionby themselves. In the past decade, there was much useful exploration and innovation in bothform and content of the composition proposition in the college entrance examination.However, in regard to the current college entrance essay topic after the new reform of highschool curriculum, the research is relatively fragmented. Thus, the composition proposition inthe college entrance examination needs to be systematically discussed. In this paper,combining with the theory of education, examination and writing, we try to do some morecomprehensive analysis of the past ten years’ composition proposition in college entranceexamination. And we hope it can bring some inspiration and reflection for the Chineseteachers in high school and provide some scientific and reasonable clue for the people whomake the test of the composition in college entrance examination.In addition to preface and conclusion, the article is divided into five chapters totally. Thefirst chapter reviews the development course of the composition proposition in collegeentrance examination. We find that after more than half a century’s practice and exploration, itfocused on political and social problems, and then on the internal concern of individual life.Therefore, the composition of college entrance examination has realized the universal value ofwriting education in the era of globalization. The second chapter introduces the background ofthe past decade’s composition proposition in college entrance, especially focus on the analysisof the cultural characteristics of the composition proposition in the college entranceexamination. The composition proposition of the college entrance examination not onlyreflects the development and innovation of Chinese education concept and composition type,but also the change in contemporary culture. The third chapter analyzes the three forms of thepast ten years’ college entrance composition: topic composition, title composition, material composition, and thengives a summary of the advantages and disadvantages of them. The fourth chapter discussesthe content and features of the decade’s composition proposition of college entranceexamination: approaching the real life, highlighting rational thinking, arousing inner care,focusing on regional characteristics. The last chapter is a reflection of the past ten years’college entrance examination composition proposition. Since2004, the compositionproposition has gradually entered “the post—composition proposition era”. It’s anothercharacteristic is that the ideological center of gravity has lowered down, namely from thegrand narrative to the details of life, pointing to the qualities of the ordinary life and ordinarycitizens’ humanity. At the same time, there is also some invisible constraint in compositionproposition, which restricts the free thinking of the examinees. We hope that the collegeentrance essay topic in the future can be more truly open, respect the individuality expressionand independent thinking.
