This paper takes Hunan and Guangdong examination paper for example in recent ten years and compares propositions respectively from the propositional basis, propositional forms and contents, and thoughts on optimization of composition proposition of college entrance examination for composition and implications for teaching.The first part introduce the propositional basis of the two province, analysis of national guidance in "the new Chinese curriculum standard in general upper secondary schools" on "expression" section, and "the exam notes" on "writing" section on the evaluation of student learning, teacher of writing, essay writing teaching guidance, and the different understanding of common standards of the two provinces. According to the actual situation, using teaching materials in two provinces and two provincial differences in historical and cultural background are also important basis for propositions. The results show that arrangement of the two sets of teaching materials and cultural, such as Hunan stresses on rational thinking and independent thinking ability, but Guangdong stresses on openness and the spirit of the times, and it have different degrees of influence on individual propositions.The second part analyses the propositional forms, the rendering features of the topic and present pattern as a whole of the Compositions, topic composition and materials composition have much difference. Propositional forms of Hunan is more limited, more stringent requirements, Guangdong’s proposition is more open and liberal, so it is different to examine the student’s abilities because of the two propositional forms. Proposition of the open expression of form conducive to enhancing students’motivation and writing fluency, certain restrictive conducive to the realization of study. Therefore, it is necessary to deal with their relations.The third part analyses from the propositional contents. The value-oriented of proposition of the two provinces focuses on personal, social, and ethical concerns of life. Combined with the examination objectives of the entrance exam, we found that a humanistic leaning against the proposition went against to the full realization of test targets and it’s hart to reflect students’emotion, attitude and values, combined with the subjection of the evaluation of the paper, it all may affect the validity of the composition in test evaluation. Thus, it goes back to the examine goal of proposition, and tries to avoid issues such as value preset, singly select and so on. And test students’knowledge and skills, processes and methods, emotion, attitude and values comprehensively.In the last part, the paper thinks based on earlier research. In order better to achieve test goals, composition should consider the problems of openness and limits, the unity of instrumentality and humanity, and bring individual subject into full play. Then, according to the teaching goals and student learning outcomes, we should think changes to the teaching, such as renewing the view of teachers’ knowledge and training of students’ thinking abilities, writing and accumulation of knowledge.
