| The teaching method of problem solving has been widely used in foreign countiesespecially the United States in1980s. At present, it has been attracted more attention in China.The definition of problem solving teaching method is based on studies the cause of questionsand how to solve problems from different ways, thus providing students a learningenvironment with discussion, question, studies and free expression.In the problem solving method of teaching, the questions are came the main threadrunning through the method and it is a kind of special teaching model with reciprocity andopen innovation, which is characterized by the student-centred. The method is based onheuristic method, hierarchical organization, reciprocity principle and open innovation. Itconform the requirements of the education reform of middle school history education. It alsocan create more active learning atmosphere with satisfactory effect and it’s raised the standardof teachers by solving the problems.By using the problem solving method, Teachers should create a question context whichcould arouse the interest of student and build students aware of different learning methods. Inthis process teacher should continue questioning and finally summarize the evaluation of thequestions. In this way, teachers should avoid the “question and answer model†and ask thequestions should based on student’s current abilities. Teachers can lead the students by askingquestions. Where appropriate, students can speak out their opinions freely.The teaching method of problem solving is shifting the attention from “teachers teachwell†to make students study independently and foster the habit and ability to life-long studywhich enhance students’ learning initiative of history. As a conclusion, I think the teachingmethod of problem solving will be widely used in the teaching of history. |
