In the present era, the position and role of ideological security is increasingly obvious in the national security of the world. Ideological security education has attached great importance for its function and meaning in the maintenance of the national ideological security. As the rapid development of economic globalization and information network and the background of social transformation, the field of our country’ ideology is facing serious challenges,which has brought many problems and difficulties to undergraduates’ ideological security education. Therefore, to adapt to the situation demands and correctly understanding and analysis of the problems and defects existing in undergraduates’ ideological security education, put forward to strategies and methods of strengthen and improve undergraduates’ ideological security education.This will has an important theory value and practical significance to maintain our country’s ideological security and ensure socialist modernization develop smoothly.The article consists of introduction and the main body(three parts). The introduction elaborates the origin and significance of the research and the research status both at home and abroad and the ideas and methods of the article. The first part analyzes the theory of ideology,ideological security and ideological security education,narrates the historical evolution of undergraduates’ ideological security education since the reform and opening in China and the undergraduates’ ideological security education at abroad.The second part analyzes the current situation of undergraduates’ ideological security education in our country in contemporary era.Firstly,introduce the situation of undergraduates’ ideological security education in China.Secondly,summarizes the basic development practice and experience of the undergraduates’ ideological security education. Finally, analyzes the problems and the reason existing in undergraduates’ ideological security education in contemporary China. The third part puts forward the principles and strategies of strengthening and improving undergraduates’ ideological security education on the basis of the first two parts. It includes three principles:the principle of direction, inheritance and reference and people-oriented. It also includes five strategies:adhere to the main channel of ideological and political theory curriculum and strive to improve the actual effectiveness;perfecting the practice of undergraduates’ ideological security education to make its role into full use; grasp the university media to make a comprehensive transmission system of ideological security education; strengthen the construction of college campus culture and constantly expand the education of culture path;improve the construction of the ideological security education team and make a practical guarantee for education.
