The Chinese new curriculum standard put forward:Chinese course aim toimprove students’ Chinese accomplishment, this request in the usual teaching shouldpay attention to the language learning process of comprehensive, practical and theprocess. In terms of curriculum, to cooperate with each other through the classroomlesson, take compulsory, work together, to reach the teaching aim of Chinesecurriculum. Elective course as a required course a good supplement and extension canhelp students to broaden their, guide the development of their personal interests andpersonality of Chinese language. In high school elective series, the cultural works tostudy include Chinese and foreign famous masterpiece, is a world cultural works ofthe thumbnail. Among them, the folk culture of the People’s Republic of China as thecultural works to study one of series of modules is an important part of Chinesetraditional culture. Through the study of Chinese folk culture, to effectively integratecourse resources in and outside class, the organic combination of Chinese teachingand social life. As a result,"Chinese folk culture" elective course setting and teachingactivity has special significance and value. However, the survey found that in theactual teaching process, in the practice of curriculum standard, teaching materialcharacteristics, clear teaching implications, there are a lot of problems such asteaching ways. The author thinksthat, in the "Chinese folk culture" elective course of teaching, the language teachershould pay attention to the significance of learning this course, pay great attention toimprove their own literacy, using various ways to stimulate students learningmotivation, but also with the reality, in practice activities, training students’ languageability to study independently, and acceptance of multivariate evaluation the students’learning outcomes. Only in this way, the Chinese folk culture of elective courseteaching target can be realized.
