Under the influence of curriculum annotation idea, advocate change student’s study way,under the open environment, to cultivate students the ability to explore problems, improve thestudents’ innovative and practical ability. Historical map is an important part of teachingmaterial, is an important curriculum resources can be developed, especially in recent years inthe college entrance examination questions by combining with the title of the growing numberof cases, the historical map is becoming more and more important role, the historical map inthe teaching problems in the research is becoming more and more important. The authorthrough the investigation of the practice school, is divided into five chapter elaborated thehistorical map in the application of the middle school history teaching.First chapter of the paper introduction account the reason and significance of topicselection, combed the research status of the historical map in recent years, and the researchmethods of this article. With the changes in the high school teaching, the historical map in theteaching of the role and status should be improved.Paper of the second chapter first describes the historical map is defined, and then to thehigh school history teaching material of the historical map in the classification, and throughanalysis points out the advantages and disadvantages of the historical map in the textbooks.History teachers in the use of historical map in the textbooks should be analyzed, believe tobe superstitious teaching material, make scientific use.Paper in the third chapter to the historical map in the teaching status quo investigationand analysis to find the map on the problems existing in the teaching of history, analyzes theproblems found and put forward the corresponding solution strategy. In the survey found thatteachers often ignore the historical map in the teaching, students are not able to doindependent knowledge chart graph.Thesis in the fourth chapter points out the significance of the historical map to historyteaching and to teachers and students respectively puts forward the method of using historicalmap. Teacher should first change teaching methods, choosing the right approach to thehistorical map teaching, the development of the science history map resources, the most important is teach students the use of the historical map method. By historical map assistedlearning, students should take the initiative to learn knowledge chart ability, etc.
