In the field of educational psychology,“Study Transfer Theory " is generally defined asthe influence of a kind of study on another. Transfer and the ability of transfer is a high-profilestudy field in educational psychology and ideological and political. After long time study in it,there have been come into a complete theory about Study Transfer Theory on its principle,substance and training program.There are both the theoretical value and practical significance for the study of transfer. Inthe view of theoretical perspective, it can help complete the transfer awareness andunderstand the process of ideological and political lessons learning, and it also reveals thenature and rules of the ideological and political lessons. In the point of practical perspective, itplays an important role on developing the transfer of ideological and political quality ofteaching and research. Students can apply knowledge of the ideological and political to newlearning or in their later life and works. It is one of the fundamental purposes of ideologicaland political education or teaching. It can be said that it exits everywhere; and it has animportant influence on learning and teaching.Ideological and political education should base on students development. Teachers notonly teach students’ political knowledge, but also help build and develop students’ attitudesand values and focus on students’ development potential. Therefore, it is important to use thestudy transfer theory in ideological and political education in high school.According to the characteristics of the ideological and political education and therequirements of the new curriculum, the author explains and explores the definition,classification and function of study transfer theory. In addition; it also explores the necessityand feasibility of the use of ideological and political course and the use of the principles andmethods in high school. The author provides some reference for the current ideological andpolitical education so that it can help senior students study.On the using and studying of the learning transfer theory in the ideological and politicalteaching, this article is divided into three parts, in addition to the introduction and conclusion.The first part is an overview of study transfer theory. First, it gives the definition on thestudy transfer theory. Second, it describes the classification of the study transfer theory, including positive and negative transfer, proactive and retroactive transfer, general andspecific transfer, levels and vertical transfer. Third, it analyzes the function of study transfertheory. Fourth, in terms of the relationship between knowledge and practice, it discusses therelation between ideological education and the study transfer theory.The second part describes study transfer theory’s necessity and feasibility on theideological and political theory courses. The necessity of using and applying study transfertheory in ideological and political lesson discusses the teaching contents and teachingprinciples of scientific and ideological unity. The feasibility of learning transfer theoryexplains that using the theory can help learn knowledge, develop students’ ability, emotion,attitudes and values, achieve the efficient environment of classroom and management ofstudents.The third part is the key chapter of this thesis. It discusses the application of theprinciples of study transfer in the ideological and political theory course teaching and the useof the method. There are four main aspects of the principle, the relation between teachingknowledge and developing the ability, principles of teacher-led and student-centered, it isclose to students’ daily and social life, the principle of linking theory with practice.Meanwhile, it studies the study transfer theory on logical and political, and it discusses theeducation, to promote the relevant knowledge and transfer in the ideological and politicalteaching, create the transfer situation, grasp the direction of migration, strengthen theguidance of teachers, adjust learning set, help students improve their problem-solving skills,exert the main role of students and improve students’ self-learning ability.
