Entering the21stcentury, the competition in sports has become more and more fierce. Asthe fast development of sports in our country, the requirement of the sports talents of thecountry has become greater and greater. We believe that the talents who achieve the all rounddevelopment are the really high-quality ones. The No.23document of our nation in2010states that we should enhance the cultural education of sports back-up talent, pay moreattention to the cultural basis of the athletes and add the cultural tests before the race. Itemphases the importance of the cultural quality to athletes. As the sports schools of theprovince, region or municipality-the grass-root units-to cultivate the high-quality sportstalents, they have played an important role. Therefore, enhancing the cultural quality of thestudents in the sports school is more and more urgent.Math is one of the compulsory courses to sports students. Because their basic knowledgeis poor and they are absent from many lessons for training and participating, they lack thesystematic learning and gradually lose the enthusiasm of learning math. Therefore, mathbecomes a real problem to the students and teachers.In order to change the situation of the sports students to learn math and enhance theirenthusiasm to learn math, from the background and importance of research, the paper hasdemonstrated the importance based on the former research status. Then, the paper makes asurvey on math learning of the sports students in multi-dimensions through the methods ofquestionnaire survey, quantitative observation and interviewing. It also analyzes the twofactors of influencing the enthusiasm of learning math: the internal and external factors. Theinternal factors include the poor learning enthusiasm, the inconstancy of learning will, thenon-proper learning method and poor learning attitude. The external ones include the socialenvironment, teacher, school and family factors. Then, based on these factors, the paper hasgiven six corresponding teaching strategies:1.Motivate the learning enthusiasm and intension by designing the teaching structurewell.2.Ensure the class teaching lively and orderly by using the guide wit. 3.Enhance the math teaching outcome by using the humorous language.4.Deepen the comprehension of math essence by using the multi-media teaching.5.Enhance the learning efficience by using the proper learning method.6.Encourage different level students to trust themselves by conducting the teachingmaterials.Finally, based the teaching experience of the author, the teaching outcome has testifiedthe effectiveness and feasibility of the above strategies and has had a certain reference valueand guiding significance and then the strategies can offer the important theoretical foundationto the math learning of sports students.
