With the new curriculum reform, English teaching pay more and more attention to development of students’thinking. Critical thinking as the highest level of thinking of people, playing extremely role in society and individuals,need people pay more attention to it. English teaching and cultivating students thinking is closely linked. However, at present, because influenced by traditional teaching ideas and ways, teachers often only pay attention to their students English language skills while ignoring their thinking ability, therefore students creating and critical thinking ability are very weak, need to be improved. This study is based on explain the content of training students critical thinking in Australian English curriculum. Hope to get some inspiration and reference.Firstly, this article analyze from the Australia primary school English curriculum standards, along with such a train of thought:Australia in the primary school English curriculum for training students’critical thinking ability of the statement—Australia in the primary school English teaching is how to implement curriculum for students’critical thinking ability training requirement—Analysis of Australia in the primary school English curriculum is to evaluate the students’ability of critical thinking. Hope learn success and failure experience of Australia English teaching critical thinking ability and give some new enlightenment to new English reform. In order to further understand the present situation of students’critical thinking ability training in China English teaching. This study select the primary English teacher as the research object to investigate in order to make the research more reliable and credible, this study adopted literature research, interview method, classroom observation and statistical analysis. This study based on10primary school English teachers’ classroom observation and interviews. The results showed that in the primary school English teaching in China for the cultivation of students’ critical thinking ability and attention degree is still low.Most of the students’ critical thinking at lower levels. Under this phenomenon, this study put forward some of my own insight. The author puts forward some suggestions from the school and the teacher and so on.At the end of this article, examine the main content of this full text and point out his study limit and the space of follow-up study.
