Junior high school biology teaching aims for all students, focusing on the needfor the overall and lifelong development of students, with emphasis on improvingstudents’ scientific inquiry ability, innovative consciousness and cooperation spirit.Positive Psychology is characterized with a positive attitude towards students,therefore it can stimulate students’ potential, enhance their lifelong learning ability,and improve their self-confidence and happiness in the learning process.This study focused on the fusion of positive psychology concepts with the juniorhigh school biology classroom and teaching evaluation. In classroom teaching, theteachers created the positive learning environment by using positive language, gamesand experiments, to enhance students’ positive emotional experience. The immersionexperimental teaching methods raised the students’ positive attitude, especially theself-confidence and cooperation spirit. The positive psychology concepts were appliedto the teaching evaluation system, including experiment tests, integrated practice,semester tasks and student electronic archives, to allow the students to reap successand joy.Application of positive psychology to biology teaching allows the students toharvest the positive psychological experience, accordingly makes for development ofstudents’ optimistic and positive personality and living.
